The goals and objectives of the OACPL are to:
Foster a strong and independent child protection defence bar throughout Ontario
Preserve and defend procedural protections for parents and families, and safeguard the legal rights of parents and families as enshrined in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Advocate for improvements to child protection law and policy on behalf of the child protection defence bar
Support and strengthen the child protection defence bar through education, outreach, and advocacy
